Bovone Glass Integrated Robotic System
Take the operator out of glass grinding.
Bovone’s integrated robotic system pairs multi-axis robots with straight-line edging machines to automate the full grinding cycle, from loading through to unload. Large slabs move through the line without a person handling them, cutting both labour risk and cost.
Built to Industry 4.0 standards, the system is fully connectable for production traceability and self-adjusting parameters, and can be configured as a single edger with one robot or a full dual-edger island for higher-volume lines.
KEY FEATURES
- Robotic Grinding Integration — Multi-axis robots load, rotate and unload glass across one or two straight-line edgers, automating edge processing end to end.
- No-Operator Islands — The full cell runs without staff present, removing manual handling risk on heavy, awkward slabs.
- Auto-Compensating Edgers — Spindles adjust automatically for wheel wear, with processing recipes uploaded and run without manual resets.
- Lightweight Gripper Design — Reduced weight and footprint grippers cut the load on the robot for lower energy use and faster cycles.
- Modular Line Configuration — Add washing, drilling or other finishing machines in line after the edgers, built around your process.
- Full Traceability — Connectable for production monitoring and self-adjustment in line with Industry 4.0 protocols.
APPLICATIONS
- Edge Processing: Flat edge, arris and bevel grinding across one or two edgers
- Slab Handling: Automated loading, rotating and unloading of large, heavy glass
- Line Integration: Washing, drilling or other finishing steps added downstream of the edgers
INDUSTRIES
- Architectural & Facade Glass

Why Choose the Bovone Glass Integrated Robotic System?
Built on robotic components from established manufacturers, the system is backed by reliable after-sales support and proven in glass processing environments. Robotic integration lifts throughput and cuts cost while taking operators out of the highest-risk handling tasks. Purpose-built grippers add measurable time and energy savings on every cycle, making it a straightforward upgrade path for processors looking to automate without a full line rebuild.
